As a native of University City, Emily has a true love of older homes and an appreciation for the effort that is required for the preservation of these homes. She obtained her BA in Studio Art and Art History from Indiana University and then completed her AS in Interior Design and a specialized Associates Degree in Kitchen Bath Design in 2007. “I’ve had a love of Interior Design my whole life. Great kitchens and baths are essential areas of the home and making them lovely brings such joy to home owners.” Space planning is one of Emily’s greatest talents. “I enjoy the challenge of fitting everything the homeowner wants and needs into a space. This can be a great challenge in St. Louis where many of the older homes have small kitchens and bathrooms. But, it’s very rewarding to give a client more than what they even thought possible in their space.”
Emily was extremely helpful through all phases of our project. She made herself available to answer all questions and troubleshoot problems. She listened to me when I explained what I wanted and made excellent suggestions on anything I wasn't sure about. She made sure I was satisfied with all fixtures I ordered, including calling Onyx and getting them to make me a new vanity top when it came in the wrong size. I am very pleased with my experience there and I would definitely go to RSI again for other projects.
Our designer worked with us and helped us stay within our budget and true to our tastes. Her creativity helped us to address the limitations of our kitchen size and maximize the use of the space. She made herself available to us whenever we called or texted and helped us to solve the unexpected problems that arose. She worked well with our contractor. Her flexibility and problem-solving were invaluable. ★★★★★
