A Baker’s Dream Kitchen
For a homeowner who loves to cook and bake, the kitchen is the heart of the home—but this homeowner’s original space felt far too small for her passion. The solution? A thoughtful remodel that completely reimagined how the rooms worked together. By removing the walk-in pantry, RSI Kitchen & Bath Designer, Steve Donovan, opened up the kitchen to allow for a spacious island with plenty of seating and a generous work surface—perfect for both everyday meals and weekend baking marathons.
But storage was still a must. To make up for the missing pantry, the oversized laundry room was cleverly divided, transforming wasted square footage into two highly functional spaces: a streamlined laundry room and a traditional scullery. The scullery now houses baking essentials, along with SubZero refrigerator and freezer columns—creating a dedicated zone for storage and prep that keeps the main kitchen open and uncluttered.
Every finish, fixture, and detail was carefully selected by Ellie Redders of Ellie Redders Interiors, resulting in a kitchen that feels both beautifully designed and deeply personal. The finished space balances warmth and function, giving the homeowner a dream kitchen that truly supports her love of cooking and baking.
