Ballwin Kitchen Remodel – From Dated to Functional and Fresh
This 1990s home in Ballwin was ready for a kitchen update—starting with the removal of its iconic (but inefficient) butterfly island. Popular in its time, the original island wasted valuable space and didn’t serve the needs of a modern household. We replaced it with a large rectangular island that not only improves flow but also adds functional workspace and seating. To keep the island clutter-free, a custom drop zone was added nearby for personal items and mail—helping the family stay organized and the space looking clean.
Wynnbrooke full-access cabinetry in a crisp Linen finish brings a timeless yet current look, while MSI quartz countertops add durability and elegance. The backsplash features hand-glazed WOW Crayon-shaped tile, with soft shade variation and a rippled texture that adds subtle movement and artisanal charm.
High-performance appliances—including an induction cooktop and a Sharp microwave drawer—round out the remodel, offering a blend of efficiency and sleek design. The result is a refreshed kitchen that’s every bit as functional as it is beautiful.
