Pershing Place Boy’s Bath – Historic Charm Meets Eclectic Style
When a young couple relocated to St. Louis and purchased a turn-of-the-century home in the Central West End, they knew the bathrooms needed attention—starting with this one for their twin boys. Embracing the homeowner’s self-described “weird” (but truly eclectic and stylish) aesthetic, the design began with a bold, beautiful wallpaper that set the tone for the room.
Rather than starting from scratch, we honored the home’s history by preserving the original cast iron tub and elegant marble slab wainscoting that wraps the room. A new basket-weave marble tile floor with a classic border nods to the home’s Gilded Age origins while providing modern function.
Bright white Kemper cabinetry adds clean contrast, letting the wallpaper shine, while gold Moen fixtures bring warmth and a touch of glamour to this playful yet timeless space. It’s the perfect blend of historic preservation and fearless design.
